Las Vegas authorities demolished Riviera Casino
A while back one of the biggest land-based casinos of Las Vegas - Riviera, which was built in 1955 and used to be one of the most popular places among players, disappear off the face of the earth. The thing is, in 2015 the authorities of the state bought the building Monaco Tower and Riviera used to be the part of the construction. This was done to build a new conference center on this place, the construction of which is scheduled for the near future. One of the reasons of demolishing was that Riviera lost its popularity as new bigger and modern gambling facilities emerged in Las Vegas.
The demolition was performed using explosion, which turned into a celebration of fireworks thus paying tribute and saying goodbye to the legendary casino.
