New Jersey online casinos suffered from DDoS attacks
Recently, 4 (four) online casinos that operate in ;New Jersey experience DDoS attacks in result of which their work stopped. However, servers were turned back on thanks to the fast and professional work of the technical support team.
As Gaming Enforcement informed, DDoS attack took place on July, 2nd and lasted for the whole day. That day hackers were trying to break servers of online casino four times and each try was about 30-minutes long. In result of it, four facilities were have to stop the work.
According to the police, hackers connected with the owners of the casinos and demanded a ransom in Bitcoins. After the refusal, hackers started the attack. The amount of required ransom is unknown.
In the moment, New Jersey police tries to identify the personalities of the hackers. This could supposedly be Iranian hackers. If this version is confirmed, this wouldn’t be the first case of attack from Iranian villains. For instance, Sheldon Adelson’s casino also suffered from hack attacks earlier.
By the way, DDos attacks are not a rarity in recent times. More often than not villains aim for ransom, which they usually don’t get.
