Underground casino with profits of $45,000,000 shut down in China
Not so long ago illegal casino with an income of $45,000,000 was shut down in the Red Dragon. As it turned out, underground casino operated under the cover of completely legal poker club. Police officers of Hubei province found out that official poker facility offered a variety of illegal casino games.
140 players and a group of 21 criminals were arrested during the operation. According to the police report, in the first half of the last year the income of the fraudsters was over $45,000,000.
This number is explained with the presence of 17 playing tables and two VIP rooms. We should notice that the clients of the underground casino weren’t just rich people, there were students, graduates and people with the highest science degree.
The big number of operations on finding underground casinos started after their activity became illegal in People’s Republic of China. People of China, with exception of Macao habitats, can’t even play poker online. However, some fraudsters use loopholes in laws which allow playing intellectual games, one of which is poker.
It is probable that after finding many underground casino, the Chinese government will completely prohibit playing poker on the territory of the country as poker clubs are used as a cover-up of illegal facilities.
