Vietnamese airports will be equipped with slot machines
Closer to the end of November the government of Vietnam was supposed to consider a plan (which was later approved of) that allowed for the installation of slot machines in Vietnamese airports. According to the Cabinet, the prime minister - Nguyễn Tấn Dũng - has himself signified the consent with the promotion of this project.
An interesting fact: these slot machines along with other 8 casino and gaming halls are banned for Vietnam citizens. Most likely only foreign tourists will be able to appreciate the newest change. However, some mass media claim those Vietnamese who travel abroad will have a chance to get the needed permission.
The Airport Corporation of Vietnam was to promote the initiative to install slot machines in the airports of the country. Soon different government authorities will share their views on the upcoming innovation, only after that the government will completely give the green light to the project local establishments are expected to become responsible for the installation.
It’s worth mentioning that approx. a month ago the Supervisory committee of gambling business in Pennsylvania state approved of the launch of slot machines in 6 airports.
